- (TTS), a hardware and software system for converting normal language text into speech also known as Speech Synthesis. Multiple techniques are used including systems that store entire words or sentences for a specific domain, systems that concatenate pieces of recorded speech, and systems that construct utterances out of component speech sounds (phones or diphones).
