- any technology where energy emitted (radiating) from a heat source warms people and other objects directly rather than heating the air via convection. High temperature radiant heaters are also known as Infrared Heaters and typically used in open environments; low temperature radiant heating takes many forms including Underfloor Heating and Chilled Beams which can also be used for heating.
