Firestop

Firestop
or Firestopping, specialized materials and processes used to seal openings in fire-resistance rated wall or floor assemblies in order to restore the fire-resistance rating. Firestop is used for electrical, mechanical, and structural through-penetrations and junctions between rated assemblies.
